Why Lifestyle Neurology?

Across my many years as a Movement Disorders Neurologist, the most common question I get is, “Can I change my diet or something else about my lifestyle to help my disease?”

Many people with neurodegenerative disorders, like Parkinson’s disease, or family members of these patients, want to be more proactive in their care but they don’t know where to start or how to keep it going.

I have a unique skill set for this unique practice that will help you make changes and keep them going. In addition to my Neurology training as a board-certified Neurologist, and my fellowship training as a Movement Disorders Specialist, I am a Certified Culinary Medicine Specialist and a candidate for the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine.

What does that mean for you as a patient of Dr. Presant’s?

I use all of this training to focus on making your journey in life with a chronic neurodegenerative disease much easier. I want you to have more good days. I want to listen and I want to try to treat what is really bothering you. I will treat your Neurologic condition and continue to work with you on making lifestyle changes that matter!
